Comprehensive Cancer Care

In most instances, cancer patients are cared for on an outpatient basis. The comprehensive nature of the cancer program at the Arnold Palmer Pavilion assures a wide variety of services in one convenient location. Both medical oncology and radiation oncology, two major forms of cancer therapy, are available at Mountain View Medical Park.

The treatment and examination areas include state-of-the-art facilities and equipment designed for privacy and comfort. A full range of support services are also available, including education, supportive care, community resources, support groups, nutrition counseling, social services, and other services related to cancer care.

A Caring Partnership

Patient care at the Arnold Palmer Pavilion is coordinated by our team of professionals who are dedicated to providing the highest quality care. Patients are encouraged to take an active role in their care and treatment program, ask questions about their care and treatment, and express their needs and concerns. The physicians who direct the care are medical and radiation oncologists on the medical staff of both UPMC and Excela Health.

These doctors are board certified in their specialized areas of cancer care. The physicians of the Arnold Palmer Pavilion work closely with patients' family physicians, nurses, pharmacists and other health care professionals to coordinate a complete program of care. Additionally, the physicians are affiliated and work in collaboration with the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute, a comprehensive research cancer center.

Outpatient medical oncology services also are available at the Arnold Palmer Pavilion offices at Oakbrook Commons, Greensburg, and Bessemer Road, Mount Pleasant. Access to the full slate of support services is offered by referral.
